McCracken gets United deal

Former Scotland Under-21 defender David McCracken has signed a new two-year contract with Dundee United FC.

European ambition
The 23-year-old has made 117 starts for the club since coming through the youth ranks at Tannadice. The UEFA Cup contenders will enter in the second qualifying round, to be played over two legs next month, after finishing runners-up in last season's Scottish Cup final to UEFA Champions League qualifiers Celtic FC.
