Hibernian FC will be without defender Gary Caldwell for the start of their UEFA Cup campaign after the Scottish international was ruled out for eight weeks.
The 22-year-old had to be replaced 26 minutes into Sunday's 4-0 derby loss to Heart of Midlothian FC after fracturing ribs and puncturing his lung in a collision with his own goalkeeper, Zbigniew Malkowski.
As a result, Caldwell will sit out Hibs' UEFA Cup first-round tie on 15 and 29 September, as well as Scotland's FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Italy and Norway earlier in the month.
