Kerekes bound for Willem II

The Dutch Cup winners Willem II have signed Hungarian international striker Zsombor Kerekes for an undisclosed fee from Debreceni VSC.

The tall striker has joined the 2004/05 Dutch Cup winners for an undisclosed fee and will arrive in the Netherlands on a two-year contract on 1 September. Provided the paperwork is completed in time, the Tilburg team hope to give Kerekes his Eredivisie debut at home to AFC Ajax on 10 September.

However, Willem II will be unable to field the 31-year-old in European competition this season as he has played in Debrecen's UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie against Manchester United FC.
