More Roma therapy for Monaco

AS Monaco FC's Italian goalkeeper Flavio Roma will miss their opening UEFA Cup game against Willem II next Thursday with a groin injury.

Recurring injury
The 31-year-old strained an adductor muscle last month and returned to training two days ago after a fortnight on the sidelines. However, he has suffered a recurrence of the injury and will sit out tomorrow's Ligue 1 match at Olympique Lyonnais as well as the UEFA Cup first-round visit of Dutch club Willem II next Thursday.

Able deputy
Veteran Guillaume Warmuz, who has impressed as Roma's understudy since joining from BV Borussia Dortmund in the summer, will continue to deputise in the Italian's absence. Monaco are also worried about the fitness of Uruguay striker Ernesto Chevantón who has a thigh problem.
