Sevilla FC have learnt that forward Jesuli will be sidelined for between six and eight weeks as he recovers from a hairline fracture to an ankle bone.

Plaster cast
The 27-year-old sustained the injury after appearing as a second-half substitute in Thursday's 0-0 first-leg draw against 1. FSV Mainz 05 in the UEFA Cup first round. Jesuli must wear a plaster cast for three weeks but is expected to require a further five weeks before being able to return to action. He will therefore sit out the second leg in Germany on 29 September.
