Article body
Baía bust-up
Baía was reported to the club's board after a row with coach José Mourinho on Sunday and is understood to have angered directors further by giving an interview to the sports newspaper Record on the same day.
'Serious incidents'
Porto today announced that the decision to suspend him followed "serious incidents at the training ground on 22 September", after Baía was dropped from the squad to face Vitória Guimarães.
Newspaper talk
Baía told Record he was tired of his situation at the Das Antas stadium. The veteran lost his first-team place before Porto's second game of the season, against Boavista FC, after telling Mourinho he would only play if the coach confirmed to the press after the match that he had an eye injury. Initially relegated to the substitutes' bench, he was dropped entirely for the Guimarães match.
