Knee injury
The 24-year-old Swiss international suffered a knee injury in training before Stuttgart's 1-1 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday. He will be sidelined for up to three weeks, making him a major doubt for the 14 December visit of Rapid.
Remaining games
Stuttgart have six points from three Group G outings, although the Bundesliga side will sit out Matchday 4 this week. By contrast, section leaders Rapid play host to PAOK FC on Thursday, and could therefore be three points clear of Stuttgart when they travel to Germany.
