The 22-year-old midfielder has agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Belgian champions and will report to the Jan Breydel Stadion on his return from the African Cup of Nations. Club Brugge sporting director Marc Degryse said that Van Heerden is "best known for his creativity, speed, technical skills and versatility – he's similar to [AFC Ajax's] Steven Pienaar." The youngster played 26 times for København, scoring five goals.
