Iversen, 29, has signed a three-year contract with the UEFA Cup contenders. "It feels great to return to Trondheim," he said. The former Tottenham Hotspur FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC player spent the 2004 and 2005 Norwegian seasons on a series of short-term deals at Vålerenga IF. His seven goals in 21 league appearances last year helped the Oslo side win the title. However, Iversen is now back at the team where he scored ten times in 25 matches in 1996 to earn his move to England. "Steffen is one of Norway's best players and it is good to bring him back here," said Rosenborg director Rune Bratseth.
