Adriano absent for Parma

A thigh injury will keep Parma AC striker Adriano out of the UEFA Cup second-round tie against Wisla Kraków.

Parma AC will be missing Brazilian striker Adriano for the UEFA Cup second-round meeting with Wisla Kraków.

Thigh injury
Adriano, who is on loan at the Stadio Ennio Tardini from Internazionale FC, tore a thigh muscle in his left leg during the final training session before last Sunday's home game against Atalanta BC and was forced to sit out the 2-1 win.

Likely to miss return
According to Parma's club doctor, Massimo Manara, the Brazilian will be sidelined for 15 days at least, meaning he will almost certainly miss the return leg in Poland on 14 November as well as Thursday's first-leg match. "He will undergo further tests in the next few days," Manara added.

Chance for Bonazzoli
The 20-year-old Adriano has scored three goals in the current Serie A campaign and struck once as Parma edged out PFC CSKA Moskva 4-3 on aggregate in the UEFA Cup first round. Adriano will be replaced by the former Italian Under-21 international Emiliano Bonazzoli, who will link up with Romania forward Adrian Mutu in attack against Wisla.
