The 25-year-old Griffiths, who was not part of Australia's FIFA World Cup squad, is well accustomed to life in the Romanian capital having joined National in 2004. He has signed a three-year deal. Sapunaru, 22, has committed himself until 2010 and will hope to feature in the UEFA Cup next term. Rapid meet Sliema Wanderers FC in the first qualifying round on 13 and 27 July.
