Liverpool FC's Czech Republic midfield player Patrik Berger faces up to three months on the sidelines after picking up another knee injury.
'He's very unlucky'
Manager Gérard Houllier said: "It's a problem with the same knee he has injured before. He's very unlucky because I had noticed in training and in reserve games that he was coming back to his best." Berger, who has made just one appearance this season due to injury, has flown to America for a scan on the knee.
UEFA Cup lead
Liverpool were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League this season in the first group stage and will welcome SBV Vitesse next week in the UEFA Cup third round with a 1-0 win from the first leg.
