South African forward Giovanni Rector has become the latest addition to Brøndby IF's roster as they look forward to the UEFA Cup first round.

'Direct forward'
Having brought in 23-year-old Icelandic international Hannes Sigurðsson from Stoke City FC yesterday, the Danish club have signed the 24-year-old Rector on a three-year contract following a successful trial. "Giovanni is going to add creativity and unpredictability to our forward line," said Brøndby coach René Meulensteen. "He is a good reader of the game and a very direct forward." Brøndby take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Cup on 14 and 28 September.
