Czech striker Roman Bednár has signed a four-year contract with Scottish UEFA Cup contenders Heart of Midlothian FC after a successful loan spell.
The 23-year-old joined the Edinburgh club on loan from FK Mladá Boleslav at the start of the 2005/06 season and scored seven goals in 22 league games. He has added four more this term, and said: "I have never hidden the fact I love playing football for Hearts. I have great team-mates and I believe that following last season's success we can continue to develop and win as a team." Hearts take on AC Sparta Praha in their UEFA Cup first-round tie on 14 and 28 September.
