Newcastle United FC have signed French utility player Antoine Sibierski and Italy Under-21 forward Giuseppe Rossi from the two Manchester clubs.

Newcastle United FC have signed Manchester City FC midfielder Antoine Sibierski for an undisclosed fee.

Versatile
The 32-year-old, who can operate in midfield or attack, has agreed a one-year contract with Newcastle, who travel to Estonia a week today for the first leg of their UEFA Cup first-round tie against FC Levadia Tallinn. Sibierski moved to England in 2003 and scored eleven Premiership goals for City in 92 appearances, having previously turned out for LOSC Lille Métropole, AJ Auxerre, AS Nancy-Lorraine and RC Lens in his native France.

Rossi in
Newcastle also completed a loan move for the Manchester United FC forward Giuseppe Rossi, the Italian Under-21 international arriving on a short-term deal until January. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said of the 19-year-old: "When he returns, he will be a more experienced player who will be able to offer us much more." A third addition to the St James' Park ranks is French full-back Olivier Bernard, who rejoins Newcastle on a free transfer from Rangers FC. The 26-year-old appeared in 102 matches for the club before spells at Southampton FC and Ibrox.
