Coly agrees terms at Parma

Italian club Parma FC have extended the contract of their Senegalese international defender Ferdinand Coly by 12 months until the summer of 2008.

UEFA Cup contenders Parma FC have extended the contract of 32-year-old Senegalese international Ferdinand Coly until 2008.

Extra year
The former RC Lens full-back has agreed a 12-month extension to his original terms with the Italian club, having joined Parma in the summer of 2005 following two seasons with AC Perugia. A series of injuries limited Coly to eight Serie A appearances during his first campaign at the Tardini stadium, but this term he has played in Parma's opening five league games as well as in both legs of the UEFA Cup first-round victory over Russia's FC Rubin Kazan. Parma visit Odense BK on 19 October in UEFA Cup Group D, which also includes SC Heerenveen, Coly's old team Lens and CA Osasuna.
