Italy goalkeeper Marco Amelia has added three years to his contract with AS Livorno Calcio committing himself to the UEFA Cup contenders until 2011.

Italy goalkeeper Marco Amelia has added three years to his contract with AS Livorno Calcio committing himself to the UEFA Cup contenders until 2011.

Regular presence
The 26-year-old has not missed a game in Serie A and the UEFA Cup this season and, in the latter competition, even scored a goal in the 1-1 draw at FK Partizan which helped the side from Tuscany to progress from Group A. Livorno will face RCD Espanyol in the Round of 32. Capped three times by his country, Amelia was a non-playing member of the Azzurri side which won the FIFA World Cup in Germany in the summer. A product of the AS Roma youth system, during his Serie A career Amelia has also played for US Lecce.
