Injured custodians
The 38-year-old, who represented the club between 1991 and 1998, initially returned to Saint James' Park on a three-month contract but with goalkeepers Shay Given, Steve Harper and Tim Krul all affected by injuries this season, he has agreed to remain until the conclusion of the campaign. "We have agreed that I will stay until the summer, then we will see," confirmed Srníček, who has made two appearances in his latest spell at the club. Newcastle take on SV Zulte Waregem in the UEFA Cup Round of 32.
