The 18-year-old midfielder, a Portuguese Under-17 international, joined the youth department at Braga during the 2000/01 season, having come to Portugal when he was very young. Regarded as a great prospect for the future, he is still playing in the youth and reserve teams at Braga, who will face Parma FC in the UEFA Cup Round of 32.
