Livorno seize on Inter's César

UEFA Cup contenders AS Livorno Calcio have signed left-winger César Aparecido on loan from FC Internazionale Milano until the end of the Serie A season.

Corinthians loan
The 32-year-old was loaned to Brazilian side SC Corinthians Paulista last summer after joining the Nerazzurri in the 2005/06 winter transfer window. He played only eight games for Roberto Mancini's men, scoring once. César previously spent four and a half seasons at S.S. Lazio, arriving from AD São Caetano in 2001. With the capital club he made 86 Serie A appearances, netting 13 goals. He may be registered to play in the UEFA Cup where Livorno face RCD Espanyol in the Round of 32.

Bakayoko departure
The Tuscan outfit have also allowed striker Ibrahima Bakayoko to leave for Sicilian strugglers FC Messina Peloro on a contract until June 2009. The 30-year-old former Ivorian international registered four goals in 37 matches for Livorno following stints with Everton FC, Olympique de Marseille and CA Osasuna among others. Messina have also taken veterans Vincent Candela and Roberto D'Aversa from AC Siena.
