SC Braga may have lost summer signing Bruno Tiago for the next six months after the 26-year-old midfielder broke his leg during a pre-season match in Germany.

SC Braga may have lost summer signing Bruno Tiago for the next six months after the midfielder broke his leg during a pre-season match.

Long lay-off
The 26-year-old fractured the fibula and tibia in his left leg during a 3-2 friendly win against VfB Hüls in Germany yesterday. Although he is yet to have surgery, it is thought Bruno Tiago will not be fit until 2008 at the earliest. He joined Braga last month after three seasons at Gil Vicente FC, claiming he had fulfilled a dream in signing a four-year contract. Braga will enter the 2007/08 UEFA Cup in September’s first round after finishing fourth in Portugal last season, just three points off a UEFA Champions League place.
