Improved terms
The Under-21 striker, who turns 23 next month and has attracted interest from abroad, has agreed improved terms which will see two years added to his contract. A UEFA Under-19 European Championship winner in 2003, Atalanta BC product Pazzini has been in Florence since January 2005 - scoring 15 goals in 65 league games. Meanwhile, the UEFA Cup entrants have failed to agree a new contract with 29-year-old defender Tomáš Ujfaluši, with only a year to run on the Czech international's deal. The Viola also signed veteran striker Christian Vieri last week to replace the departed Luca Toni.
