The UEFA Cup entrants have swooped for former Portugal Under-21 and Benfica defender João Pereira after selling Luís Filipe to the Lisbon club. The 23-year-old arrives for an undisclosed fee, having agreed a four-year contract. Joining him at Braga will be Jaílson, who is currently surplus to requirements at Benfica having signed for them earlier this summer from FC Rubin Kazan of Russia. The 26-year-old made only seven appearances for Rubin after leaving SC Corinthians Paulista. Braga finished fourth in Portugal last season.
