Heerenveen pounce for Paulo Henrique

Versatile forward
The 18-year-old Brazilian, who only recently made his first-team breakthrough, has signed a three-year-deal with the UEFA Cup hopefuls with the option of a further two years. Paolo Henrique was discovered by Heerenveen during the Terborg international youth tournament in which he became top goalscorer. He is a versatile, two-footed forward who can play in several positions in attack and has scored three times in 13 matches for Atlético Mineiro. Heerenveen, who will play in the first round of the UEFA Cup, are hoping the starlet will be eligible to make his first appearance at the Abe Lenstra Stadion in early September.
