ACF Fiorentina have agreed a new and improved contract with their central defender Alessandro Gamberini, keeping the player in Tuscany until the summer of 2011.
ACF Fiorentina have extended defender Alessandro Gamberini's contract by two years until the summer of 2011.
Gamberini, signed from Bologna FC before the 2005/06 season, has signed the new and improved deal after impressing during his 47 Serie A appearances for the Tuscan club. The 25-year-old centre-back has twice been called up by Italy but is still waiting for his first cap. He previously played 78 league matches for Bologna and had a short loan spell at Hellas-Verona FC. Fiorentina begin their campaign at home to Empoli FC on Sunday, then kick off their UEFA Cup challenge on 20 September.
