Real Zaragoza midfielder Matuzalem is expected to be out of action for two months after tearing knee ligaments in last night's 4-1 loss at FC Barcelona.
Left knee injury
The 27-year-old Brazilian was taken off in the second half at Camp Nou following a challenge with Yaya Touré and tests revealed that he has partially torn ligaments in his left knee. Signed this summer after three seasons at FC Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, Matuzalem has scored once in four Primera División outings for the northern Spanish side. He also played in Zaragoza's 1-0 UEFA Cup first round first-leg defeat at Aris Thessaloniki FC in Greece. The return match is scheduled for La Romareda on 4 October.
