Rensing steps up
Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said today that the custodian will undergo surgery on his right elbow. "He will be absent for four to five weeks," he explained. Kahn will be absent for Thursday's UEFA Cup first round second leg game at CF Os Belenenses, with his side a goal to the good from the first leg. As with Saturday's 1-0 win at Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Bayern's No2 Michael Rensing will take Kahn’s place in Lisbon.
