Matches 1 to 8
For games 1 to 8 in the Round of 32, eight red balls containing the names of the third-ranked teams will be placed in a bowl. The first ball drawn from that bowl will be the home team of match 1. In accordance with the conditions of the draw, the computer will then show which group winners are eligible to play the third-ranked team of match 1. A bowl containing yellow balls will be prepared containing the names of the group winners that are eligible to be drawn against the third-ranked team of match 1. A ball will be drawn from this bowl to complete the pairing of match 1. The team drawn will be placed as the visiting team of match 1. This procedure will be repeated for the remaining matches 2 to 8. If the computer indicates that only one group winner can be drawn, there will be no draw.

The team drawn will be placed as the visiting team of match 9. This procedure will be repeated for the remaining matches 10 to 16. If the computer indicates that only one group runner-up can be drawn, there will be no draw.

Round of 16
No teams will be seeded for the Round of 16, to be played on 6 and 12/13 March. The 16 green balls containing slips of paper for "winners of match 1" to "winners of match 16" will be placed in the large central bowl and shuffled. The first team drawn will play its first match at home against the second team drawn. The same procedure will then be repeated for the other Round of 16 matches.
