Rangers FC striker Nacho Novo has signed a contract extension keeping him in Scotland until the summer of 2010.

Two more years
The 28-year-old Spaniard has accepted the offer of another two years at Ibrox as his contract was due to expire at the end of the season. He was thought to have rejected an initial 12-month top-up. Novo, who is currently sidelined by a dislocated shoulder, has scored 29 goals in 96 league games for Rangers since arriving in Glasgow from Dundee FC in 2004. Rangers will play Panathinaikos FC in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 having dropped out of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
