Getafe CF have confirmed that Jaime Gavilán will need around two weeks to recover from the head injury he suffered during Wednesday's 1-1 UEFA Cup draw at AEK Athens FC.

Hospitalised
The midfielder spent the night in a Greek hospital after he was knocked out in the second half of the Round of 32 first-leg tie following a collision with AEK's Rodolfo Arruabarrena. Gavilán returned to Spain yesterday, from where he said: "I'm lucky to be alive. I will now look at life from a different perspective." The 22-year-old will miss Thursday's second leg, when a place in the last 16 is at stake.
