'A lot of potential'
Caiuby has been handed the No11 shirt by the club from Lower Saxony who have been drawn against FC Rapid Bucureşti in the UEFA Cup first round. "He is a young player with a lot of potential," said Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath. "He can shoot with both feet, has pace and is strong in the air. Since he is a Brazilian, it goes without saying that he is technically gifted."

Time to develop
Reports suggest a fee of around €2.5m has been paid for Caiuby, with the forward saying: "I am pleased to play in Germany. The standard is very high. I will be able to develop my career under a successful coach in Felix Magath and am looking forward to the challenge." Magath, meanwhile, promised to give Caiuby time to adapt to Bundesliga football.
