Impressive form
The 22-year-old striker's previous contract was due to expire next summer but his impressive form last season ensured Feyenoord were keen to extend his deal. Buffel returned to De Kuip last summer after two seasons on loan at SC Excelsior and enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in the first team, scoring 18 league goals.
'The best choice'
His club form earned him a first international cap against Albania last October and Buffel has gone on to play seven times for Belgium, scoring one goal. "Staying at Feyenoord is the best choice to carry on developing my game," he said.
