Fenerbahçe SK have added to their strong Brazilian contingent with the signings of international André Santos and Cristian from SC Corinthians Paulista for an undisclosed fee.
Brazil caps
Left-back André Santos and midfielder Cristian, both 26, will arrive in Turkey on Wednesday to sign contracts with the Istanbul club. André Santos, who won his first five Brazil caps in helping them win last month's FIFA Confederations Cup, helped Corinthians win the 2009 Brazilian Cup and Paulista state championship having joined last year from Figueriense FC following loan spells at CR Flamengo and Clube Atlético Mineiro. Cristian, like his colleague a Paulista FC product, also played for Mineiro and Flamengo before joining Corinthians in 2008.
Honvéd tie
The pair will line up alongside fellow Brazilian newcomer Fábio Bilica and compatriots Roberto Carlos, Gökçek Vederson, Alex and Deivid in the Fenerbahçe squad. Last season's fourth-place finishers in Turkey, now coached by Christoph Daum, begin their UEFA Europa League campaign with a third qualifying round tie against Budapest Honvéd FC on 30 July and 6 August.
