Big loss
Johnson scored the opening goal at Craven Cottage but midway through the second half he was felled by a heavy Dmitry Belorukov challenge, Fulham swiftly confirming their worst fears had been realised. "He will be out for eight weeks," said Hodgson. "I'm tempted to say I'd have preferred to have lost and have no injury to Johnson. Bobby Zamora and Johnson were outstanding together today: I thought they were a constant thorn in the Russian side's defence. Now we'll be without one of them in the return leg."
