Liverpool FC defender Glen Johnson will be out of action for at least a month after scans revealed a medial ligament tear in his right knee.

'Second opinion'
The 25-year-old England right-back was forced off late during Tuesday's 1-0 Premier League win against Aston Villa FC. An examination confirmed the problem, but the club are seeking further medical advice to gauge the exact extent of the injury with manager Rafael Benítez saying: "He'll see a specialist and then we'll talk but we know he'll be out for at least one month. But we are waiting for another opinion and then we'll know how long." Liverpool meet FC Unirea Urziceni on 18 and 25 February in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, as the former UEFA Champions League contenders aim to earn a last-16 encounter with either LOSC Lille Métropole or Fenerbahçe SK.
