Club Atlético de Madrid have strengthened their squad with the loan signing of Portuguese international midfielder Tiago from Juventus until the end of the season.

As part of the deal for the 28-year-old, Los Rojiblancos have agreed an option to buy the former SL Benfica and SC Braga player should he impress at the Vicente Calderón. Tiago arrives in the Spanish capital following two-and-a-half seasons in Turin where he made 42 Serie A appearances for Juve. Prior to that, he won two Ligue 1 titles with Olympique Lyonnais while in 2004/05 he collected a Premier League winners' medal with Chelsea FC having made 34 top-flight appearances for the Stamford Bridge club.
