Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC have completed the loan signing of former Dutch Under-21 international winger Daniël de Ridder from Wigan Athletic FC until the end of the campaign, with a further 12-month option.

Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC have completed the loan signing of former Dutch Under-21 international Daniël de Ridder from Wigan Athletic FC until the end of the season.

Fresh opportunity
The 25-year-old winger, who has an Israeli mother, will arrive in the country on Thursday as he looks to revive a career that has stalled since joining Birmingham City FC from RC Celta de Vigo in 2007. De Ridder will stay at Hapoel until the end of the season, and the side lying second in Ligat Ha'Al will have the option of extending the deal by another 12 months in the summer. Eli Gutman's side will face Russian champions FC Rubin Kazan in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 next month.
