Keeper on target in Hadjuk triumph

HNK Hadjuk Split 3-0 GÍ Gøtu Goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa was among the scorers in Split.

HNK Hadjuk Split 3-0 GÍ Gøtu
Croatian side HNK Hadjuk Split claimed a 3-0 success at the Poljud stadium against GÍ Gøtu of the Faroe Islands to give themselves the clear advantage in their UEFA Cup qualifying round tie.

Keeper on target
The Hadjuk goalkeeper, Stipe Pletikosa, was an unlikely scorer, striking his side's second goal on the hour from the penalty spot, ending a period of resistance from the determined visitors.

Reward reaped
Hajduk had made all the early running in the game, but were kept at bay until the 22nd minute when Vlatko Dolonga opened the scoring. The home side continued their search for goals after going 2-0 ahead, their positive play reaping a third, which came six minutes from time, Zvonomir Deranja on target.
