Seven up for Amica

KS Amica Wronki 2-7 TNS Llansantffraid (Agg: 2-12) Amica score seven in Wales.

TNS Llansantffraid 2-7 KS Amica Wronki (Amica win 12-2 on aggregate)
Polish side KS Amica Wronki made emphatic progress into the UEFA Cup first round as they easily beat TNS Llansantffraid in Wales.

Magnificent seven
Amica recovered from twice going behind to register seven times against their Welsh league opponents and complete an overwhelming aggregate win.

Against the odds
Against the odds, and the course of the match, Llansantffraid had gone ahead through Steve Anthrobus's glancing header on 20 minutes. Amica equalised when the previously profligate Grezegorz Krol finally found his shooting boots, but the home team's reply was instant, John Toner scoring on the break on 28 minutes.

Riot act
That, however, was as good as it got for the hosts. Marcin Burkhabt restored parity before half-time. After it, Amica ran riot, Llansantffraid's desperate rearguard action unable to save goalkeeper Gerard Doherty from picking the ball out of the net on several occasions.

Krol treble
Remigiusz Sobocinski, Krol and Marek Bajor all hit the target as the Welshmen tired. And, after a brief late rally by Llansantffraid, Krol completed his hat-trick on 86 minutes before substitute Przemyslaw Ludzinski rounded things off at 7-2.
