NK Dinamo Zagreb 6-0 Zalaegerszegi TE
Croatians NK Dinamo Zagreb look to have booked their ticket for the UEFA Cup second round with a resounding 6-0 first-round, first-leg victory against Zalaegersegi TE.

Heavy pressure
The Hungarian side were under heavy pressure from the start, and it only took eight minutes for Dinamo to take the lead, with former Newcastle United FC midfield player Silvio Maric getting his name on the scoresheet. Eleven minutes later, Dumitru Mitu increased the lead with a fine effort.

Olic makes it three
The visitors, who scored a creditable UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, first-leg win against Manchester United FC last month, held on until the interval, but two minutes after the restart, Ivica Olic put the ball past goalkeeper Geza Turi to make it 3-0.

Hosts run riot
The hosts continued to dominate the match, and grabbed a fourth goal 15 minutes from time through Kristijan Polovanec. Substitute Vladimir Petrovic, who came on for Mitu in the 65th minute, completed a splendid night for Dinamo with a fifth and sixth goal in the 83rd and 85th minutes.

'Fantastic win'
Dinamo's Croatian international striker Olic said: "It was a fantastic win. The whole team played at a high level. We could have scored more, but even so, we are now 100 percent sure that we are entering the second round. The Hungarians were leaving too much space for us, and we knew how to use it."

'Real football'
Team-mate Tomislav Butina added: "We showed we can play real football. This was our best match so far this season, and I must say I am quite impressed with our fabulous fans - the atmosphere was fantastic."

'Our worst nightmares'
Dejected visiting goalkeeper Turi said: "We never expected something like this could happen, not even in our worst nightmares. We were hoping for at least a narrow defeat, and that we would score at least once. Now we are very much aware that we have very little chance of getting through."
