Partizan silenced by clinical Brugge

FK Partizan 2-4 Club Brugge KV
Adrie Koster's men opened up a three-point gap on third-placed Toulouse FC in Group J, eliminating Goran Stevanović's side in the process.

Club Brugge KV opened up a three-point gap on third-placed Toulouse FC by overcoming FK Partizan for the second time in Group J, eliminating Goran Stevanović's charges thanks to a 4-2 success in Belgrade.

Kouemaha double
The Belgian side were 2-0 victors two weeks ago and prised an identical margin by half-time with efforts from Ivan Perišić and Dorge Kouemaha. Adem Ljajić (52) and then, after Kouemaha (57) got his second, Washington (66) sparked hopes of a comeback but Vadis Odjidja (74) sealed the victory before Mladen Krstajić was sent off for the hosts.

Free-kick routine
Visiting goalkeeper Stijn Stijnen was called into action early on as he flung up an arm to push out Brana Ilić's drive but Partizan petered out quickly and the Blauw-Zwart stepped in with a classy free-kick routine on 28 minutes. The Serbian side switched off, allowing Michael Klukowski to gallop down the left flank and drive a cross to the far post where Perišić was arriving to slide in his third goal in as many European outings.

Quick second
The second goal eight minutes later comprised of an equally fluent build-up as Karel Geraerts cushioned down a long ball and clipped a reverse pass to release Perišić, the Croatian's cross turned in from close range by Kouemaha. The Crno-beli required a catalyst and it was half-time substitute Miloš Bogunović who provided it, surging past Antolin Alcaraz to tee up Ljajić, but the two-goal lead was repaired when Ryan Donk's long pass found Kouemaha, who swept in from 20 metres.

Radosavljević error
Back came Partizan as Marko Lomić's free-kick was headed back across goal and another substitute, Washington, headed in only for Odjidja's free-kick to squirm under Aleksandar Radosavljević to make it 4-2. Krstajić's 80th-minute dismissal for a second yellow card put paid to ambitions of another home flurry late on.
