Club Brugge and PAOK boast fine records

Club Brugge KV may be yet to concede a goal at home to Greek opposition, but UEFA Europa League Group D visitors PAOK FC won their only game on Belgian soil to date.

Something will have to give when Club Brugge KV welcome PAOK FC in UEFA Europa League Group D with Adrie Koster's side yet to concede when hosting Greek teams and their visitors having won their only game on Belgian soil.

Previous meetings
• The teams are meeting for the first time in UEFA club competition.

• Club Brugge's experience of Greek opposition consists of six games against Panathinaikos FC – the most recent in 1994 – in which their record is W3 D2 L1 (W3 D0 L0 at home). They have yet to concede a goal at home against a Greek club.

• PAOK's only games against Belgian sides came in two 1991/92 UEFA Cup first round matches against KV Mechelen, where they drew 1-1 at home and won 1-0 away.

Match background
• Club Brugge have won their last four European home games since going down 4-1 to FC Shakhtar Donetsk in last season's UEFA Europa League group stage.

• Their record in nine UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League group stage home games since 2004/05 is W3 D4 L2.

• In their only previous group stage appearance, in the 2005/06 UEFA Cup, PAOK lost both of their away games 1-0.

• PAOK have drawn five of their last six European games, barring a 1-0 win against Fenerbahçe SK in this season's UEFA Europa League play-offs.

• They are unbeaten in four European away games since a 1-0 loss against FC Rapid Bucureşti in the 2005/06 group stage.

Team facts
• A winger for Roda JC and PSV Eindhoven who was capped three times by the Netherlands, Club Brugge coach Koster started his coaching career in the lower leagues in his home country, before taking charge of AFC Ajax's reserve team. The Amsterdam side's caretaker coach in the 2007/08 season, he moved to Bruges in the summer of 2009.

• Pavlos Dermitzakis started his career as a striker with his local side, Kavala FC, before spending three years at PAOK from 1992 to 1995 and then representing seven more Greek clubs before hanging up his boots in 2000. He coached a number of sides before taking charge at PAOK in 2010.

• PAOK right-back Anis Boussaidi spent time in Belgium with KV Mechelen in 2008.
