PSV Eindhoven welcome LOSC Lille Métropole in the UEFA Europa League hoping to mark their 101st game in the competition with a result that will take them into the round of 32, following last week's 2-2 draw in France.

• Ola Toivonen inspired a late fightback in the first leg for PSV, making the key contribution to Wilfred Bouma's 83rd-minute goal before scoring the equaliser himself 60 seconds later. French league leaders Lille had taken a 2-0 lead into the break after strikes from Idrissa Gueye (6) and Túlio De Melo (31), but PSV's late rally means they have the edge ahead of this decider.

Previous meetings
• This is the sides' first tie in UEFA club competition, and this is also Lille's maiden European fixture in the Netherlands.

• PSV have played 31 games against French clubs, with a record reading W8 D13 L10 (W5 D6 L3 at home). PSV did not win in their first ten away games against Ligue 1 sides but beat SC Bastia over two legs to win the 1977/78 UEFA Cup.

Match background
• Before the first leg, PSV were on a three-game winning streak away from home in Europe, having scored twice in the last four matches on their travels in UEFA club competition.

• PSV have gone ten games unbeaten at home (eight wins and two draws) in Europe since a 3-1 loss to Liverpool FC in the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League group stage. That run comprises all ten of their UEFA club competition home fixtures under current coach Fred Rutten.

• Before PSV's visit, Lille had won seven of their last eight European home games, that sole aberration a 2-1 loss to Sporting Clube de Portugal in this season's UEFA Europa League group stage. Those two Sporting goals were the only ones Rudi Garcia's side had conceded at home in UEFA club competition this season, while that loss remains the only one in 12 European home games under Garcia.

• Lille have not won in eight European away games (four draws and four defeats) since recording a 5-1 win at SK Slavia Praha in last season's UEFA Europa League group stage; their best ever result on their travels in UEFA club competition.

Team facts
• The next goal Lille score will be their 100th in UEFA club competition. This will be their 78th UEFA club competition game.

• The second goal PSV conceded at Lille was the 100th they had let past them in as many UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League games. Their next win will be their 50th in the competition.

• PSV coach Rutten took on French opponents for the first time in his career in the 2008/09 UEFA Cup group stage, with his FC Schalke 04 side beating a Paris Saint-Germain FC team featuring Lille goalkeeper Mickaël Landreau 3-1 in Gelsenkirchen.

• PSV's Swedish forward Marcus Berg and Lille's Czech defender David Rozehnal were team-mates at Hamburger SV last season. Both players have been loaned out by the German club this season.

• PSV's Swedish goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson played in France for Stade Rennais FC from 2004 to 2007, where he was a team-mate of Lille's Senegalese forward Moussa Sow.

• The overall winners will take on the victors in the tie between Rangers FC and Sporting – who met Lille in the group stage – in the round of 16 on 10 and 17 March, playing the first leg at home.
