Under-21 debut: 4-1 v Lithuania (28/03/2009)

• A hard-working and diligent left-back, Matveychik played in eight of Belarus's ten games en route to the 2011 U21 Championship in Denmark.

• Made his debut for Gomel as an 18-year-old in the 2006 season, 65 minutes into an 8-2 defeat by FC MTZ-RIPO Minsk.

• A first-team regular since the 2008 campaign, Matveychik captained Gomel as they won promotion back to the top division as runaway second-tier champions in 2010.
