Paulo Sousa oversaw a major scalp for Videoton FC in Group G as the Hungarian side overwhelmed the coach's former team Sporting Clube de Portugal 3-0.
Expectations were not especially high among the Videoton faithful due to the club's 3-0 loss at KRC Genk a fortnight ago, but the Hungarian hopefuls reacted strongly thanks to first-half goals from Paulo Vinícius, Filipe Oliveira and Nemanja Nikolić. After that, there was no way back for Sporting and they were consigned to their fourth defeat in as many matches in Hungary.
