Next games: Beşiktaş v Partizan (6 November)

Beşiktaş JK enjoyed their first trip to Belgrade immensely with Gökhan Töre leading by example as FK Partizan had a night to forget in UEFA Europa League Group C.

Veli Kavlak put the Black Eagles in front after 18 minutes, his dipping shot from outside the box catching everyone by surprise, and while Nikola Drinčić drew a save from Tolga Zengin soon afterwards, Beşiktaş were unlucky not to go 2-0 up, Gökhan's right-footed strike beating Milan Lukač but smacking against the post.

Partizan looked to have steadied themselves as half-time approached, yet Olcay Şahan's smart ball completely unhinged the home defence, inviting Demba Ba to send Partizan into the break with a mountain to climb.

Beşiktaş did not change their approach after the interval, and while Petar Škuletić and the similarly pacy Danko Lazović did their best to whip up some resistance, Slaven Bilić's visitors welcomed the extra space to play around in. Gökhan laid on a swift pass for Oğuzhan Özyakup to make it 3-0, and from then on Partizan appeared resigned to their fate on a soggy pitch. Ba duly rewarded Gökhan for his exertions with an assist for the classy winger to complete the scoring.

With their first Group C win, Beşiktaş have moved up to top spot in the section, while in the wake of their heaviest European home defeat to date, Partizan are moored to the foot of the table and yet to score in this season's group stage.
