Michel Preud'homme, Club Brugge coach
We have a lot of injuries, so deciding the lineup is not too difficult. We will start the match with a good team and hope to take our chances. The annoying thing is that, especially in Europe, our bench has often made the difference in games as we have a large squad. That has allowed us to compete on three fronts, so starting with a good team tomorrow is not an issue. However, the amount of matches at this stage, coupled with having a reduced squad, could give us problems.

Dnipro deserve to be in the quarters. The first thing I told my players about Dnipro is that they are a side who make their opponents look bad. After their ties against Ajax and Olympiacos people said those teams played badly, but after analysing things you notice that Dnipro force opponents to play that way because of their organisation and mentality.

Defensively they concede little space and play very aggressively, working together to make it hard for the opposition. Up front, because of the work rate of the whole team, they get players into dangerous positions, enabling them to make the difference. Every year they battle with Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv for the top places in Ukraine, so that's the answer to those who say they don't know much about Dnipro yet.

Myron Markevych, Dnipro coach
Club Brugge have a very intense style, they are very strong at the back and play very compactly, always trying to squeeze their opponents. They have not lost a single match in the Europa League so we will have to be at our best. For me it's the same game home or away: we will not adjust our strategy for that.

I have not wavered in my opinion that we cannot win the Europa League. That said, nobody believed we could reach the quarter-finals and here we are. The mentality and courage of the team is crucial for us, and the players must once again give their all. Tomorrow is part one and only in Kyiv will everything be decided.

Expert predictions
Chris Burke: There is a buzz about Club Brugge and chances are they will continue riding that wave of self-belief through to the semis – unless the strain of pursuing a historic treble takes its toll. They will not mind tackling the second leg in Ukraine either, having already prevailed away to the likes of Beşiktaş JK and FC København during this run.

Igor Linnyk: In Ukraine, Dnipro are considered favourites in this tie although Markevych noted that Club Brugge are "very difficult opponents who can play attacking football". Dnipro approach the 16 April opener with no suspensions and plenty of experienced players. An away goal will be key; Dnipro will certainly go for it.
