• Santi Mina was involved in five goals, scoring two and serving up a trio of assists as Valencia prevailed 6-0 at home on coach Gary Neville's 41st birthday, the Spanish side equalling the record margin of victory for a UEFA Europa League match.

• Rapid's record in 12 encounters with Spanish teams is now W3 D2 L7 (W3 D0 L2 in Vienna).

• Valencia ventured from the group stage to the semi-finals in their most recent UEFA Europa League campaign, in 2013/14. They won the UEFA Cup in 2004, beating Olympique de Marseille 2-0 in the final in Gothenburg.
