Boomerang joy turns to despair

Interviú Boomerang 11-3 Norilsky Nickel
The Spanish team won but the result was to be reversed.

Interviú Boomerang beat Norilsky Nickel 11-3 to initially become the first team through to the final of the UEFA Futsal Cup after finishing the Group A mini-tournament with a 100 per cent record.

However, the scoreline was changed to a 3-0 victory in Norilsky's favour after it emerged that Interviú fielded an ineligible player. That changed result meant that Group A rivals Action 21 Charleroi qualified for the final at the Spanish side's expense.

In the match itself, Boomerang had victory sewn up by half-time with a 5-0 lead. Nickel managed to find the net three times in the second half but their opponents managed to add another six.
