Castellón set up Spanish showdown

Furpile Prato 2-6 Playas de Castellón
The holders will meet Interviú Boomerang in the UEFA Futsal Cup final.

Playas de Castellón ensured the UEFA Futsal Cup will be an all-Spanish affair by seeing off Group B mini-tournament hosts Furpile Prato.

Great feeling
Castellón, the defending champions, were always in control thanks to early goals from Isco and Josema, who went on to complete a hat-trick. The latter was particularly pleased to find the net, describing it as a "great feeling". He added: "We played as a team and we took the early chances we had."

Too strong
Prato did manage a couple of consolations via an own goal and an Andrea Cristoforetti strike in the second period but found their opponents too strong. The victory was a small blow for Spanish pride after the national side lost 2-1 at the hands of eventual winners Italy in the semi-finals of the UEFA European Futsal Championship last month.

Delighted with win
Castellón coach Faustino Pérez, who will now lead his side in next month's two-legged final against Spanish rivals Interviú Boomerang said: "This was a well deserved victory. Even more pleasing as we were playing in a hall full of passionate Italian supporters. The second half was more equal than the first, however. Scoring the first goal was key to the outcome and to increase the lead was crucial. This was an important advantage which made it difficult for the Italians to get back into the game."
